Project Service: How do you become a pioneer in your market and move on from semi-manual to fully automated management?

Mad Engineering’s project for a fully automated prototype of the industrial sector, led by Luca Terzi.

The project is ambitious and the first of its kind: We are creating the prototype of a machine, uti- lized to test and verify at what temperature some materials can be melted in a completely auto- matic way.

SOURCE HARDWARE CHARACTERISTICS

• The system is based on a SOM UM15M7 custom board, developed by Project Service Srl.
• 7” high brightness IPS color display with capacitive touch, “bonded” to a glass layer.

PERIPHERAL DEVICES

• Thermoregulated heating plates.
• Dedicated sensor technology (photosensors/temperature probes (PT1OO & K probes).
• Management and verification of the system ventilation & cooling sections. 

Luca terzi says “one thing leads to another. In fact, it happens that while working on a project, you realize how certain solutions can then be expanded and applied to other contexts. It happened in this case for the peripherals and for the related problems we had to face.”
